good NIGHT, GOOD MORNING, GOOD NIGHT
How do traces of filmed images appear again, how do their textures weave once more a narration? In Antenne 8, I attempt to reconstruct and display material from “Souvenir of Absence” .
In this film, I searched for ways of describing, and narrating temporality by opposing the appearance and disappearance of images and voices of two beings/losses: my father and my grandmother. The Antenne 8 showcase provides a non-cinematic space, where playing around the abstraction of death and juxtaposing my gaze through a camera with matters from my family’s archive, provokes the material to open towards more meanings and narratives. It asks how to think absence with regard to the trajectories of the many stories that overlap around the corner of Konstablerwache.
